Hotel Corest – Adults Only

The lobby has a romantic theme, so I can see why someone might think of a love hotel, but the rest of the place feels pretty normal. It seems mainly aimed at business travelers, with that other side to it as well. I stayed three nights for a domestic work trip. The staff were all really nice and accommodating. My room was unusually large for Japan, with a big wet room bathroom, a good coffee machine, and plenty of amenities. Ice costs 300 yen if you want a cold drink.

The staff were incredibly friendly and kept offering extra bottled water, towels, sheets, and toiletries. They brought breakfast to our room, and it was generous. They also tried to accommodate my vegan friend. We stayed six nights, and the room was quiet, very clean, and spacious enough for all our things. The bathroom had separate areas for the toilet, sink, and shower.

I booked at the last minute on the day, and the room, while not very roomy, was clean and practical. The location is handy too, with several stations nearby.

The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The room and bathroom were both small, and the bathroom had neither a TV nor bubbles. It was clean, so I could see staying one night, but the price felt ridiculously high, even by Tokyo standards. In the morning, more substantial curtains would help keep the light out. I’d booked thinking it was a love hotel because I found it on a love hotel introduction site, but it turned out to be a business hotel.
