JR-East Hotel Mets Mejiro

There are convenience stores and a couple of restaurants down the road, though I’d say there’s only an average amount of food around. We liked staying here, and the Single room for two was much more spacious than other places we tried. It’s near Mejiro station, so going back and forth on the subway was easy, and we couldn’t hear the station from the room. Customer service was pleasant as always. After checkout, they let us leave our suitcases and room for a little while so we could return and collect them, with no charge. I’d recommend it.

The rooms are roomier than at other hotels near stations, and the location is marvelous. I’d recommend it, 10/10.

This was the best hotel of our three-week trip around Japan. Mejiro station is close, and having local restaurants within walking distance made a huge difference. The staff were very nice and helped with everything. No complaints, and I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family. 10/10!

We liked the peaceful feel of Mejiro, with restaurants, pharmacies, and FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, and Lawson nearby. It’s one stop from Ikebukuro but much calmer. There’s a Starbucks inside the hotel, and a police station directly in front. The only downside for the area is that there’s no large shopping mall at the station. Our Twin Room was comfortable, with a good bed and pillows and space under the bed for large luggage. Over six nights, we heard no trains or people outside, despite the hotel being a 30-second walk from the JR station. The walls are well soundproofed. The bathroom, shower, water, and drainage all worked excellently. Housekeeping did a great job, and complete amenity kits with Pola products were available in the lobby. They can store luggage and accept online deliveries, too. Staff were polite and very helpful.
