Tokyu Stay Kamata - Tokyo Haneda

It felt like a home base, with friendly staff, pajamas, a fridge, and a microwave in the room. Some rooms are quite small, but they were clean and had a good bed, enough for what I needed. Breakfast was okay but the choices were very limited, so I’d just eat out. The airport is close, and public transport is nearby. With all my luggage, an Uber to the airport in a larger vehicle cost about 3,000 yen. There are lots of things to see around the hotel, and the neighborhood felt safe.

The reception staff explained luggage forwarding in detail and made sure we could arrange to postpone or hold it, double-checking the recipient at our next hotel. Earlier, when we arrived around 7 AM, a staff member stored our luggage and sent it to our room after check-in opened. That was a lovely surprise when we got back later. Every receptionist who saw us arriving or leaving during our three-night stay greeted us, which made me feel welcome. My wife and I stayed from 16 Oct 25 to 19 Oct 25. Keikyu-Kamata Station is about a five-minute walk away, and JR Kamata takes around 10-15 minutes on foot. The hotel met Japanese hotel standards: the room was clean and soundproofed, and the bathroom had a heated toilet seat. I’ll come back when I stay in Tokyo again. We stayed one night before flying out of Tokyo. The location was very good and the amenities were good too. Our three-bed room felt a bit tight once we had all our luggage, but I’d recommend it for the same kind of overnight stay. It was pretty budget friendly.

The room is small, which is the main downside, but it comes packed with useful things: an air purifier, safe, fridge, pants press, hair dryer, microwave, electric kettle, and washer-dryer. The hotel also has free coffee, tea bags, and amenities. Keiyu Kamata Station is under a five-minute walk away, with plenty of supermarkets nearby, some open 24 hours, and late-night places to eat.
