We came in February for the Matsuri, the fireworks, and the food stalls. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and nice, and the Onsen, though small, was very clean too. It was frustrating to see some tourists from specific countries enter the water without washing first, then take the cedar woodden balls floating in the onsen for their scent and wash them with soap before putting them back. Signs about bathing etiquette were posted in English and Chinese, but those people simply didn’t bother to read them. That’s not the hotel’s fault, so I’m still giving it five stars.

The calm lake is lovely to look at from the windows, whether you’re in your room or sitting in the lobby. The view from the lobby is especially beautiful right after check-in. The hotel has been newly renovated, so the facilities are very good, though there’s a pungent smell in the elevator. Breakfast and dinner were okay, but didn’t taste as good as I’d hoped. Maybe they’ll improve after the renovation!

We had a mix-up with our booking, and the owner was sincere and very helpful in sorting it out. The stay itself was cozy, with amazing lake views and excellent food. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely spot in town. Our spacious lake-view room was neat and had everything a tourist would need, and the lobby was a relaxing place with a nice atmosphere. Dinner was a pleasant surprise, especially the tasty beef and generous vegetables. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. A special thanks to the male staff member who worked so hard to arrange pickup at my next hotel. Highly recommend this place.
