The location worked well for my work trip, with a mall and restaurants within walking distance. My room was a little small, but the layout made good use of the space and it had the amenities I needed. Breakfast, free self-service laundry, parking, coffee, toothbrush and toothpaste, nightwear, and slippers were included. The service was great, and the price felt fair for the rooms, location, and property.

The hotel had been freshly renovated by 2025, and the rooms were great. Service was excellent and the prices were very good. It's a bit away from central Tsuruoka, though right beside Bussankan, the large, famous 100-year-old trading store.

The buffet breakfast had loads of options, and even though they don't cater to vegans at all, not even soy milk, I found plenty to eat: rice, salad, beans, and drinks. I didn't leave hungry. As a solo female traveler, I felt calm and welcome here, even though it does have a salary-man kind of feel. The room was clean and spacious, and the onsen area was a favorite. It was easy to find and park, and terrific for the price. Loooooved it. I'll be doing a review on my YouTube channel soon. I definitely recommend it!

There’s a supermarket nearby, but no station or convenience store close by. The hotel itself is very basic, with dated rooms and no particularly warm atmosphere. I think Tsuruoka has better options.

My girlfriend and I paid about 6,800 yen after taxes and fees for the two of us. When she told me it was 6,000 yen, I assumed that meant per person. I was amazed. The staff were very nice, and the bed was comfortable. If I return to Tsuruoka for an overnight stay, I’ll probably book here again. It’s a fairly priced place to stay.
