BAY HOTEL Urayasu Station

The location was excellent, within walking distance of Urayasu station, Seiyu supermarket, Lawsons downstairs, and plenty of places to eat. Staff were very friendly, and some spoke enough English to explain the facilities. They even let me practice my Japanese at check-in. It’s a converted apartment building, so the room felt more spacious than a typical Japanese hotel. The 1K layout had a sleeping area, small table, closet, toilet, and a separate bathroom with a washing machine and shower. It was clean overall, though there were a few stains and scuffs on the walls from furniture. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and washcloths are available à la carte in the lobby, which I was told is staffed 24/7. A very good stay.

It was fine for crashing at this price, though it didn’t feel like a regular hotel. The place is converted apartments. Getting to reception on the second floor by elevator was a bit confusing, and we had to put garbage and used towels in the corridor bins ourselves. The station, a big supermarket, and a convenience store are all super close. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was a good size. But there was no bedside table, so nowhere to set a phone or glass of water, and the many scuffs on the walls made them look dingy.

Whenever I come to Japan, I stay at this hotel. The rooms are amazing, the service is good even if you don’t speak Japanese, and the location is perfect, right by the metro station and Disneyland. There’s good local food nearby if that’s what you like, plus Lawson and Seiyu supermarket. Seiyu’s instant and hot food is amazing. I definitely recommend it. It’s awesome.

We needed a kitchen for a week in Tokyo, and Bay Hotel Urayasu-ekimae worked out great. It’s a three-minute walk from the subway line, with only one transfer to or from Narita Airport, and the train takes you into Tokyo. There’s a 24-hour supermarket across the street and a Lawson convenience store downstairs. Reception is open 24 hours, and the staff were amazing. You leave your room key there when you go out. For stays longer than four days, you get free housekeeping. You can ask the front desk for detergent, plates, or even a rice cooker. The non-smoking rooms were clean and each had an air purifier. There’s hot water and a small bathtub. In August, when fireworks are on around Tokyo, you can see them from the upper floors. Great stay, and thanks for the hospitality.
