We felt really welcome here, almost like family, and the owner and manager were friendly. The stay was comfortable, and the food was tasty, inexpensive, and satisfying. It was wonderful, and we’d be happy to come back.

A pleasant hotel for the price, with nice service.

Parking costs 500 yen a night. The facilities are basic, but enough if you only need somewhere to sleep. The bed was very clean, and the room had bath towels, hand towels, and a hairdryer. Toothbrushes are on the landing, though there’s no hand soap, so I used shampoo to wash my hands. The Wi-Fi was very weak. The unit bathroom is cramped even for me as a woman, and I think larger people would have little room to move.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, so finding food wasn’t a problem. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a soft bed and fluffy blankets, and the shampoo and body soap were nice, like Dove or LUX. It felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel, though. The bathroom was tiny, leaked, and the faucet made it hard to get the temperature right. It wasn’t very clean. I was surprised there was no elevator, and getting a suitcase up to the fourth floor could be difficult.

Breakfast was really delicious, and the front desk staff were kind and polite. During Golden Week, nearby restaurants were fully booked, so it’s better to eat before heading to the hotel on a long holiday. There’s a convenience store within walking distance. The adult entertainment shop next door didn’t bother me, since those shops are often near business hotels. I also went to Nachi Falls, where the staff at several souvenir shops were very kind. I was so pleased by how welcoming people in Wakayama were. Thank you to everyone at Green Hotel.
