Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Higashiguchi

We had a clean, comfortable room, and breakfast was lovely. With a FamilyMart right downstairs, picking up a late-night snack was easy. There are loads of amenities, and I especially liked the bath powder for relaxing my tired feet after exploring. We spent two fantastic days at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama‑Higashiguchi, right by Yokohama Station’s North East Exit A, so getting around was very convenient. We happened to be there for hana Matsuri and would happily return.

The free bath salts and facial masks were a lovely way to relax, and the loaner pajamas were so comfortable I didn’t need the ones I’d brought from home. Our room was just right, with a lovely bathtub, and the hotel is right next to the train station. We stayed several nights and would absolutely come back and recommend it.

The trains run right beside the hotel, so I found the earplugs useful. I’m not sure they’d help everyone, especially on a lower floor. On the plus side, the prices are really reasonable, and it’s great for shopping: you can pop back to the hotel anytime to drop off your things. There’s also a convenience store in the same building, so you can get what you need without going outside.

We were lucky to get a room on the quiet side of the building, so the trains weren’t an issue for us, unlike what other guests have mentioned. This was our favorite place of all the accommodations on our trip. The room was clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly, and wifi fast. It’s very close to the station, with any sort of shop you can think of within walking distance. We spent hours wandering around and found lots of great restaurants and pop-up shops. The pajamas they provided were fun and comfortable, too.
