For ¥50,800 a night, the price felt reasonable, and we were generally satisfied. We stayed the night of July 15 and 16 with four adults, two children, and two small pet dogs. The place is about a five-minute walk from Zushi Beach. You can see the ocean from the second-floor bedroom and from the first-floor living room window, though that window doesn't open. The building was clean and had a decent range of amenities, although there were no toothbrushes. It was especially helpful to have a pet-friendly place, since there aren't many. Our child accidentally broke a glass, and the staff kindly told us it was fine. Thank you for that. The parking area, as other reviews mention, is unusually small. There's a lot of traffic and pedestrians on the road outside, so it's not a good fit if you're unsure behind the wheel. Someone has to get out and guide pedestrians and people passing by while the car enters or leaves, bowing to them. We drove an Elgrand, which was about 50 cm too large. The side sliding door wouldn't open or close, so we used the rear door to get in and out. When unloading, we couldn't open or close the rear door unless we moved the vehicle forward by at least another meter. We got there around 8 a.m. hoping to head to the beach early, then parked in the next-door lot until check-in at 3 p.m. Parking at Zushi Beach gets crowded throughout the season, so reserving a spot early is best.

The floor has a slight slope, as they explain at check-in, and I felt a little seasick. There are also marks left by previous occupants, such as nail holes in the walls, so this place may suit you best if that sort of thing doesn't bother you. I stayed in December 2022. It's a pet-friendly guesthouse conveniently placed near Zushi Beach and Hayama Marina. The staff were very helpful, contacting me several times before check-in and giving great support when I arrived. It seems to be a renovated house, with kitchen appliances and dishes, plus a washing machine in the bathroom. Those facilities make it handy, and it seems suitable for a longer stay. There is free parking at the property, but the space is very narrow and seems suitable only for small cars or minivans with sliding doors. Nearby coin parking lots may fill up depending on the season and time of day, so it's a good idea to check ahead.

Nagisabashi Coffee is right next door, and the edge of Zushi Beach is only a two-minute walk away, so the location is ideal if you love the beach. I stayed for three weeks after Golden Week in May 2023. The facilities are old, but the staff were very helpful, and my dog and I were comfortable there. I heard renovations were planned from June, so I expect the facilities will be even better afterward. I hope dogs can still stay there once the work is done.

The place was clean and comfortable despite the older building, and the bedding was fine. The location and surroundings are great, with an ocean view from the room window. It faces a moderately busy road, though, and it can get noisy at night. The parking area is small, as the inn says. There's an adjacent lot for ¥500 per 24 hours if you can't use the property's parking. Snow was forecast on our check-in day, so I was grateful they let us arrive early and be there. A few things were disappointing. There was no hot water in the bathroom, which was inconvenient in winter, and the circuit breaker trips easily. There's a dining room but no living room. A cleaning staff member came into our room without permission before checkout, which startled me. I thought they seemed suspicious, and it left a bad taste at the end of the trip. The only amenity issue was the lack of tissue boxes. Kitchen paper would have been useful too.

The house was roomy and worked well for a family. The view was beautiful, and getting around was convenient. The staff were very helpful and could speak Thai.
