Maybe I just had bad luck during my first stay there, which was over Water Festival. I got a basement room where the WiFi and hot water didn't work, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, and my SIM card had no service. There was no mini-fridge either, and loud party music played outside the hotel. Prices are okay and the service seemed fine, but if you have another option, I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe rooms upstairs are better. Good luck with your trip.

The room was basic but clean, with just a fan and no aircon. At $15 for one night, after they initially asked me for $20 and I talked them down as a solo traveler, that felt steep. For $6-8 I wouldn't have complained. Noise carried through the rooms, and around 6am the staff were yelling down the corridor. I asked them to be quiet, but they carried on making a lot of noise. They weren't polite either. Only stay here if you're desperate, otherwise keep away.

There's plenty of parking, the place is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable, so it seems suitable for families or work trips. Just be aware there's no hot water, which could leave you freezing during a night or early morning shower.

For 8 dollars, don't expect air con, hot water, decent internet, English-speaking staff, or quiet, with roosters and dogs around too. We still liked the friendly people, the medium-hard mattress, and the price. The town centre is only a 2-minute walk away. We arrived at 4am on the night bus from Phnom Penh, and they discounted our first night.
