The rooms were roomy and clean, with everything I needed, and breakfast was filling and really good. I was there for about four nights, my second stay, and Mr. Homer made sure things were memorable again. The Colleseum is an easy walk from town (Bssseterre) and Port Zonte, the cruise terminal shopping centre. There’s no kettle in the room, but one sits in the hallway mini pantry, along with a microwave everyone can use. Each room also has a mini fridge. Mr. Homer and his staff were warm and went out of their way for us. I’ll be back. If you want somewhere within walking distance of town, this is a great choice. Thanks again, Mr. Homer, it’s always appreciated 😊😊.

The beach is right outside, the air conditioning kept me cool, and the staff were friendly. I was also impressed by the cleaning, they even wash the shower curtains between guests. Laundry was a lifesaver, though I had to wait until after operating hours and ended up doing it past midnight. Glad I had the option, anyway. The area gets busy when a ship is in, but otherwise it’s close to town. WiFi was slow, so remote work came with a pretty big delay, though I could still get it done. I’d strongly advise against coming on a Sunday. I was very pleased with my stay.

There’s a supermarket downstairs, which made it easy to pick up drinks, snacks, or toiletries. The room itself was cozy, comfortable, clean, and had what I needed. I only wished there’d been a warm blanket or comforter for the bed. I was local and had brought one, so that worked out. I came for a few days of rest and had expected early morning noise because of the location, plus some disturbance from nearby construction. Neither turned out to be an issue. The Colosseum is a classy little place, and Homer runs it well. I’d recommend it to locals or visitors wanting a clean, private, comfortable getaway.

I booked two nights in a row, but after the first night I was told a group arriving that day needed to stay together, so I had to leave my room and move to Seaview Inn, about three blocks away. I objected and said they couldn’t do that. The owner, Homer, said he could. I eventually moved, after negotiating an airport transfer. It was late, and only arrived after I chased them. A very bad experience. From later reading reviews on Google, it seems this has happened before. If you book here, be aware you may be made to move for a group booking they knew about in advance. They should not double book and then force the non-group guests, helpless tourists, to find other accommodation. That’s no way to treat guests if they want the business to thrive long term. I felt I had no choice short of calling the police.

The staff were so friendly and really looked after our needs. The owner was great, too. I felt safe in the guest house overnight, though I wish the main door were locked more often during the day and night for extra security. The location was perfect, right in town by the shops, with the bus terminal across the road. The rooms were clean and cozy, with lovely air conditioning, and the kitchen was clean and had pretty much all the utensils you’d need. I’d definitely recommend it and stay again. Thank you.
