I sometimes look for somewhere quiet to write, away from the noise but not completely isolated. This motel village is tucked into the middle of a mountain, and the general atmosphere is decent. The facilities are about what you'd expect for the price, apart from people drinking and shouting.

The room itself is in decent shape, and the parking lot is clean and roomy. It's among the hotels near Mandeok Pass. Cleanliness is the main letdown. The bubble bath works better than the whirlpool, though switching it on does bring some dirt out.

After checking in past 10 p.m., I headed to the baseball stadium. All the Mandeok motels are up in the mountains. The room had that stale cigarette smell, with no ventilation or air freshener to help. I also found hair and bits of broom on the floor. I don't think I'll return.

Parking, the shower, and the bed were all convenient and nice. The pillow was much too high, though, and my neck hurt a bit.
