The neighborhood felt a little quieter than the rest of Seoul, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, with bus and subway stops just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There’s a washer and dryer in the basement. I stayed in November and found the thermostat’s default setting much too hot. I’ve heard that’s common in Korean hotels, but at least here you can turn the temperature down.

The location is fantastic, the service was wonderful, and everything was clean. We slept well, and I’d recommend staying here. The room was good, though a few things needed work, like the missing baseboard and the somewhat chipped bathroom tile.

My room type only allowed check-in from 8 p.m., which I hadn’t noticed when booking. Luckily I arrived late and already had dinner plans, so it wasn’t much trouble. Do check the details when you reserve.

The room looked nice at first, but closer inspection showed a real mess. Housekeeping and service felt unprofessional every other day during our six-night stay. On day one, the mirror was dirty. We asked the front desk to help clean it, and the staff member just stared and nodded. When we got back, there seemed to be bathroom cleaner on the sink. Whether that was deliberate or not, it was extremely unprofessional. By the fourth day, we had no slippers, and the top shelf was dusty enough to cover our clothes when we put them there. On our last day, we found the shampoo had been replaced with conditioner. It was late, so we couldn’t ask the front desk for help and had to wash our hair with shower gel. There was no soundproofing. We could hear alarms going off in other rooms. If they move you to an “upgraded” room, make sure it isn’t beside the elevator, since there’s noise every night and morning.

Check-in is at 3 PM and checkout at 11 AM. The location is ideal if you’re going to see cherry blossoms or walk along the riverside. If you’re looking for restaurants popular with Korean office workers, this is one of those spots.
