We had a two-bedroom suite, which gave our family of four loads of space. There were two bathrooms and two toilets, and the beds were hard but surprisingly comfy. The pillows were plush and great too. The location is the hotel’s biggest plus: Anguk station is a four-minute walk away, and the two big temples and bukchon are close. The rooms are very old, and the hotel badly needs renovation. Breakfast was mediocre, and at a supposed high-end hotel I couldn’t believe Ascott was okay serving such awful food. The eggs, bacon, and croissants were among the worst I’ve had at any hotel. On a few occasions the croissants were at least a day old, and the coffee was mediocre. The hotel is always full, so clearly there’s little incentive to improve. Staff were nice, but the breakfast was the worst I’ve had, and at 350 dollars a night we deserved better.

It’s an easy walk to the palace, so you can head over and start your tour. The hotel works really well for families with small children, thanks to an amazing playroom with a ball pit, books, and toys. Breakfast mixes Korean and American food, so you can try something different and still get eggs and bacon. Service is quick, and the staff speak fluent English.

I liked everything about this hotel. It’s centrally located, so you can walk wherever you want to go, and the rooms are really spacious. They come with everything, including a kitchen and washing machine. The room views were lovely too 😊.

It felt comfortable and homelike, and the room was big and clean. The kitchen had an electric stove, microwave, large fridge, and kitchenware, plus a washing machine, which I loved most. Breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly. The location was good, with a minimart less than 20 meters away to the left of the hotel. There’s also a gym, children’s room, and pool. We’ll come back.

The view was the best part of a great hotel ❤️. The housekeeping staff member who came to clean my room every day was so friendly and kind. I was in apartment 1811 ❤️.
