The airport bus made getting there especially easy. K Airport Limo 6702 stops right by the hotel; at the airport you can buy a ticket from a kiosk just before exiting the terminal, and the bus stop is at the terminal exit. Going back to the airport, you can simply tap when you board. It cost 18,000KRW/adult, and we picked it for convenience since our flight was early in the morning / midnight. Our room was warm during our stay from 3/4/26-5/4/26. The water pressure was strong, all the toilet necessities were there, and they left 2 bottle of waters each day. There were plenty of plug points too. The narrow layout was the main drawback: only one person can fit along the walkway from the door to the far end, so there isn't much room to set down luggage and pack, especially in Seoul, where shopping is such a draw. The staff who cleaned our room were really good at their job. They kept it tidy and clean, and were very friendly, always greeting us with smiles when we passed on the walkway. We were on level 7. Concierge staff were nice as well, though their English was basic, so it's best to keep conversations simple. We couldn't check in early because the hotel was fully booked, and there isn't luggage storage at the hotel. There is a coin locker right beside it, though, accessed through the indoor walkway next to GS25. It was easy to use and big enough for one large suitcase and one cabin-size suitcase. The first 3 hours cost 2,000KRW, then each additional hour was 1,000KRW. For the station, walk straight out from the hotel about 300m to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Line 2 exit 4, then cross the main road at the pedestrian crossing. The station serves lines 2, 4 and 5, so walking inside depends on which route you need. Seoul has a lot of stairs everywhere. GS25 is right next door and closes at 11:30pm; you can get a climate card or t-money there. There are a few nearby food choices too, including seolleoltang, samgyetang, Japanese food and bakery butterhill across the road, plus local soup shops along the same road toward the metro.

With almost no storage space, we had to leave our belongings in suitcases on the floor. The room was also very small, with the bed right beside a window that wouldn't shut properly, letting cold air blow straight toward us. We told the staff and someone came to inspect it, but said it couldn't be fixed. They didn't offer another room, and kept switching off the air conditioner, which we needed to keep the room at a livable temperature. Every day we had to go ask them to turn it back on warm.

For Seoul, this felt like a mid-range option. I picked it for the location and access, but still had to do a bit more walking and figuring out the way on foot than at other hotels nearby. The staff were also less friendly than I usually expect and experience in Korea.

Jin at the front desk was especially helpful, with excellent English and thoughtful help with directions and recommendations. The other front desk staff were friendly too. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained, a nice place to rest after exploring Seoul. Getting around was easy. The nearest subway station is a 5 to 7-minute walk, and the bus stop right in front has direct service to and from Incheon Airport, which made both arrival and departure simple. We had a great stay at The Summit Hotel Dongdaemun and would recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, convenient and comfortable place in Seoul.

We were about an 8 min walk from the nearest subway, which serves lines 2, 4 and 5, with lots of places to eat across the road. The service was good: they cleaned the room every morning and replaced 3 water bottles daily. We had the triple room, with a queen and a single bed. It's a decent 3 star hotel at a reasonable price, and the room itself was good, though small. There wasn't much space for luggage, so we kept things on the bed while getting stuff out, then put them back on the floor. The bathroom was clean, with a shower over the bath, a strong hairdryer, and a toilet with a bidet and heated seat, which was nice.
