The place felt neglected, dirty, and smelly, and most of the staff came across as rude and dismissive. The Frenchman who gave us directions to a laundromat was the one exception. We signed up for the group Korean BBQ on Friday night, and it felt like a total scam: the food was good, but the hostel charged $35 per person even though the restaurant menu listed the large meal that fed four people at $15. Four quiet, boring staff members chaperoned eight guests, and I'm sure they ate for free. They said the $35 included unlimited soju, but two bottles at $5 each were easily enough for four of us. They also require a three-night minimum, which makes me think they know people would cancel after one night. There's no love, attention, or energy put into this place, and you pay far more than you should. Avoid it.

Trust the bad reviews. The staff were rude and dismissive, and they didn't clean my moldy private room. It smelled strongly of mold and was dirty everywhere. There's no common area, just a gross, damp basement they call a social area. There's no party here, so I don't know why it's called a party hostel. Everything was bad. Don't stay here.

The price is really reasonable, and it's so close to Hongdae. The staff are all foreigners rather than Korean, so communication was no problem. They also have a BBQ party with soju, which was especially fun. Such a nice place.

I was there in the middle of winter, during the quiet low season, so the hostel was pretty calm. It seems like it could be much more social in the warmer months, and I'd like to come back in summer when more people are around. The location was great, close to the Hongdae walking street, and the MRT goes directly to the airport. Staff were lovely and the rooms were warm. The bathrooms were a bit small and could've been cleaner.

It was an alright hostel, with a decent amount of room in the eight-bed dorm and a good spot just a short walk from Hongdae. The cots are very basic and have no privacy curtains, and the whole place feels a little grungy, with bathrooms that were somewhat dirty. Still, it was a great place to meet other travelers and make friends. Lockers are available for 1000 won.
