There's just one bathroom in the whole building for more than 20 dorm beds, which is irresponsible. Some upper bunks have odd cutouts in the ceiling, so my bed was only about half the size of a single. The staff spoke no English and seemed pretty grumpy. With so many people packed into one tiny room, it was unbelievably hot. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this was probably the worst hostel of my trip.

I was ready to book a room, but first asked the woman if I could use the bathroom. She shouted, “No, reservation!” I explained that I did want to book and just needed the toilet first, but she still said no. It felt so strange that we changed our minds. I don't want to hurt the business, but she needs to know how she came across.

The location is the standout: you can catch a bus to the airport right outside the hostel. It's clean and well organized, with lovely people, though the facilities are limited: one toilet, two shower areas, and one kitchen. Seems like a good fit for one person.

The room is small, with just one curtained bunk bed, one shower, and one toilet. Still, it was clean, and there's a supermarket nearby and a bus stop on Manas St. I picked it because it was close to the meeting point for my early tour. A reasonable choice if you're after an affordable place.
