Hotel Albergo

The food was top-notch, especially in the courtyard. I also loved the cozy, charming room, and the rooftop pool was breathtaking. Everything about my time at Hotel Albergo was fantastic.

We started with the food, and the shrimp linguine was the standout, though the limoncello sea bass capellini was just as fresh and vibrant. The burrata with tomatoes was creamy and balanced, the crab with avocado was delicate and full of flavor, and the Albergo salad with beetroot and apricots was light and refreshing. Mains included escalope à la milanese and the club sandwich, while the Australian entrecote went so quickly that we immediately ordered another. Fresh ginger tea helped us pace ourselves before the Albergo birthday cake and Alexandra chocolate cake, both rich and satisfying. The rooftop restaurant is just below the swim club, apart from the courtyard downstairs. It's cozy and intimate, a nice setting for an easy dinner with friends. Dinner by the pool was lovely, and the rooftop itself is really pretty. The chicken kale salad was good, and we liked all the pastas we tried. The truffle pasta was very good, but the shrimp linguine was something else, one of the best seafood pastas I've had in Lebanon. The vanilla meringue birthday cake was amazing too. I'd definitely recommend the rooftop for Italian food.

The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and full of character, but the staff made the stay disappointing. At checkout they were rude and unhelpful. I asked for somewhere to pray and was told there was no place available, even though a meeting room was empty at the time. A little courtesy and understanding would have changed the experience. The property is lovely, but the service didn't match it.
