The rooms were great, but it was the service that made the whole stay so good. George and the other staff we met when arriving and leaving were attentive, warm, and incredibly helpful. They made us feel comfortable right away. I’d happily come back again and again.

The Wi-Fi was very slow, but this was still good value for money. The room had a comfortable large bed, a fridge, a small kitchenette, and hot showers, and we had no electricity problems. The hotel is centrally located in Hamra, with groceries and food nearby. The staff were extremely helpful throughout our three-day stay.

The AC was leaking water, but the service was great. The staff were helpful with anything we asked, and the location is convenient for restaurants and the center of Beirut. The rooms were clean and just right. I highly recommend the hotel.

I’ve traveled internationally for more than ten years, and this was the worst hotel reception experience I’ve had. The floor manager demanded my passport before letting me go to my friend’s room to drop off a bag. When I refused, he yelled and threatened to call the police. I don’t know if that’s official policy, but it’s bizarre to ask for a passport from someone who isn’t staying there, and his behavior was completely inappropriate. My friend felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable that he found a room at another nearby hotel, where the treatment was much better. We don’t know whether studio 44 will refund him for the remaining nights. When I went with him to request the refund he was due, the floor manager yelled at me again, wouldn’t let me speak, raised his hand aggressively, and banged on the counter. He kept telling me to calm down and refused to give us the hotel manager’s phone number. I feel especially bad because I was the one who brought my friend here. The reception experience was terrible, and I’ll warn my friends and colleagues against staying here.
