Top of the Hill Guesthouse

Such a quiet spot, tucked away from the busy main road, with a lovely flower-filled garden. The rooms are simple and clean, and the beach is walkable, while Weligama is only about a five-minute ride away. Staff were really kind and professional, and made things easy for us, like serving breakfast at different times. We felt very welcome in this enchanting little nature nest.

Fireflies at night and a super secluded beach nearby, Secret Weligama Beach. The staff were friendly, and the stay was super affordable when we visited. Tuk tuks were a little hard to find. They accept LKR and USD. I didn’t try the food.

We came for a few nights, then returned after travelling around Sri Lanka to spend the end of our holiday here. The place is so calm, with fruit trees and plants everywhere and no city noise, just nature and animals. Our room was spacious and clean, and we hung our hammock on the terrace. They have a tuk tuk and can take you wherever you need to go. Breakfast was amazing every day, with fresh fruit and juice, and the special dinner was great too, the chef really knows what they’re doing. They helped with whatever we asked for, from a scooter and aloe vera to special food, and always tried to find a good solution. They also had tips for shops, activities, massages, and pretty much anything else. Such kind, lovely people. Hope we see you again!

Jungle beach and turtle beach are both an easy walk away. The grounds are lovely and the accommodation has character. Food is superb, and with not much choice nearby, I’d definitely eat here in the evening. The portions are generous and the quality is excellent.
