Congress Hotel

A large piece of ice fell from the roof onto our car overnight while it was in the hotel's paid parking area. The vehicle was badly damaged and now has to be taken by tow truck back to Estonia, leaving us with huge expenses, stress and a ruined trip. Ice and snow aren't cleared from the roof, and large chunks are left hanging where they could fall at any time. We'd been unloading the trunk and walking between the car and our room. The ice could just as easily have hit one of us. This is a real threat to people's safety, not just an inconvenience. There were no warning signs, barriers or visible steps to keep guests safe, even though parking costs money and leaves your vehicle directly exposed. The hotel has a basic responsibility to maintain the building, especially in winter. This kind of neglect is unacceptable. Our trip is ruined, the financial loss is significant, and we've lost all trust. I strongly advise people not to risk their property or, more importantly, their lives at Congress Hotel in Vilnius.

The two-room apartment on the “2nd” floor was amazing, with a balcony and bathtub. Breakfast was amazing too ❤️. The less nice part was that the ACs had been turned off, and the radiators couldn't keep the place warm enough. Thanks for having me!

The staff were attentive and always smiling, the apartments were spotless after morning cleaning, and breakfast was delicious and fresh. The hotel is quiet, beautiful and prestigious, right in the city center near all the sights. I didn't like that my room looked out onto a courtyard full of big construction waste containers. I asked to move to an available apartment with a road and river view, but they refused. Still, I give high marks for the kind staff, good breakfast and clean apartments.

The river location is handy, and the Old Town is only about a five-minute walk away. My superior double was roomy and faced the back, so it stayed really quiet. The bed was comfortable, with a choice of very soft or just soft pillows, and the room was cleaned well each day. Staff were nice, and breakfast had a good selection, though the coffee machines also did hot water and the queues got long when a coach party was there. The decor feels very dated. The bathroom was big, but the shower cubicle felt cheap and the shower head was uninspiring. There weren’t enough plugs by the bed, which was annoying. It was nice enough, but the rooms need updating.
