Green Vilnius Hotel

A plain, simple hotel with a basic breakfast. Good value for the price.

I left after seeing the room and booked somewhere else. The hotel was horribly dirty and very run down, with rubbish in the lift and corridors, old furniture, a worn bed, and a bathroom that hadn’t been cleaned well. I then looked through reviews in the room and found one mentioning bedbugs. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room had plenty of space for four people and four beds, and the towels were clean and in good condition. The pillow was poor, though, so I had to ask for another one to get comfortable. The toilet wasn’t very clean, but still okay, and the kettle was full of limescale. They only left tea in the room. Breakfast was the same each day and got boring; it wasn’t very tasty, but was okay. The hotel looks a bit old, which wasn’t a big issue for me. There’s a shop and McDonald’s nearby, and a pantry on every floor, though those need cleaning or maintenance. Of the five staff members I encountered, maybe one was really helpful and friendly; the others weren’t very friendly. The hotel needs a lot of improvement if it wants to stay in business for a long time. Overall, very average.

I’m the kind of guest who’s mostly just looking for a place to sleep, and it did the job for me. It’s basic and clean, and the service was pleasant. There was plenty of breakfast, though nothing special.
