The reception staff were friendly, and I did enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi. Despite the problems, I’d stay again. The food was decent, though it was the same each day and not very hot. Ice cream was only offered at breakfast, and the coffee didn’t seem to have much caffeine. We were there four nights, but the room wasn’t serviced at all. I understood it was supposed to be cleaned after the third night. By then it was noticeably dirty, especially the carpet and bathroom mirrors. The bed linen also needed tucking back around the mattress on nights three and four. Even a three day gap between cleaning feels long, particularly after walking through snow in boots, even if you take them off as soon as you enter. The lighting controls were odd. The main lights were all on or all off, including ones glaring at the pillows, and I couldn’t switch off just those. Each bedside light controlled both sides of the bed, though the shades were decent. I did like the bathroom nightlight.

The location was a strong point, with a shopping mall nearby and an easy walk to the old town. The food was good too. The rooms looked nice, the beds were okay, and I liked the pillows, but it didn’t feel like I got what I paid for. The toilet paper was cheap, the parking cost a lot, and the pool was only open for three hours in the morning. Service came across as arrogant.

The location was great, near a shopping mall and an easy walk from the old town, without being overrun by tourists. Service was a toss-up, either really good or quite arrogant. Rooms were small, there weren’t many free sockets, and the toilet paper was cheap. The beds were okay and the pillows were nice.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bartender was funny and made really good cocktails. I just wish they’d had decaf coffee at breakfast.
