Mohamed, the owner, was cheerful and lovely to talk with. The place felt almost like a fairy tale, and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I really liked it. It's right in the middle of everything but still easy to find, and I'd happily recommend it.

We initially booked two nights, then realized Chefchaouen only needed a day for us. We asked the manager, Mohammed, if we could leave early, and he agreed that we'd pay for just one night. Since he was kind about it, we tipped him an extra 50 dirhams. We paid him 800 dirhams total for one night in two rooms. Later, we learned our friends had already paid the full two-night amount when they booked. That means Mohammed had the rooms paid for in advance, and we believe he kept another 800 dirhams from us. He should have known the booking was already fully charged. We expect the original payment for reserving the two rooms to be refunded. Thank you.
