We booked two nights through Booking after seeing really nice reviews, but when we arrived, they told us there was a room problem related to the heating system. They said it was too cold and sent us to a nearby hotel for the first night. It was a very disappointing place and definitely not what we’d paid for. We also found some older reviews mentioning this. In the end, we asked to cancel the booking and get a refund, which they agreed to without any issue. Such a pity, because the riad looked really nice.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It was noisy in the evening, with lots of sound from the central area coming into our room, and breakfast was poor with terrible coffee. The shower drain gave our bathroom a constant bad smell, and there was no key for our room. At one point, a staff member tried to open the door while we were inside. It was quite weird, especially since the same guy had made us feel uneasy from the start. Edit: I changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 because the owner is now writing lies in response to reviews.

The location is great, conveniently right at the entrance to the old medina. Some of the staff were very nice, but the manager’s terrible attitude made us feel unwelcome the whole time. We had several problems with the rooms and wouldn’t stay here again.

The location is convenient, close to the blue gates. You might get lucky and meet the one kind guy at the front desk, but that’s about it for the staff. Our bathroom wasn’t clean, and the water only had pressure when it was hot. Music from the dining room carried into our room late at night. Breakfast was basic and didn’t start until 8:30. Dinner was priced at 250 DAM, while a good meal outside cost about half that.
