The family looked after us so well and helped with anything we needed. We felt safe and comfortable, and dinner and breakfast were very nice, especially eating up on the roof terrace. Very safe and comfortable. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fez!

The rooftop has a great view across the inner city, and there’s a lovely lounge downstairs too. Abdou and his family made our stay wonderful, helping us through every little snag. The riad is beautiful and right in the city center. Our room was good value for a very competitive price, breakfast is available for 30 Dirham, and check-in runs 24/7.

Getting back inside after going out could take quite a while: there was a long wait after knocking, and no especially welcoming face when the door finally opened. We also had a small disagreement over 2 €, and they pushed phones showing their booking platform at us. I wondered if that was because I get good deals through my own booking platform. The bathroom is very cramped, and without a door mat, wet footprints stayed on the ceramic floor and were hard to dry. We arrived while the room was still being cleaned, though we hadn’t come early. The host had been juggling his store and seeing off other guests before taking us to the riad, which was hard to find. Of all the riads we’d stayed in, this was the only one that didn’t offer tea. No worries.
