Riad Qamar Fez

Even after I reconfirmed my reservation, I arrived to find there were no rooms available. They moved me to a different riad, farther away and lower in quality, while charging the same price. I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you want a pleasant vacation.

I arrived with a confirmed, non-refundable Booking.com reservation, only to be told there was no room for me. The whole experience was stressful and ended up costing me money. Getting there was already difficult. From the nearest parking area, I had to walk a long way through confusing, unpleasant streets in the Medina. A porter insisted he knew the route but led us the wrong way. I later learned it wasn’t accidental. At the riad, the receptionist said they couldn’t host us and tried to send us to another property. He wanted us to pay him directly and said he’d “settle everything himself.” When I refused, he pressured me to cancel or change my Booking.com reservation, even though it couldn’t be refunded. My luggage was also taken somewhere else without my consent instead of being brought back to the parking area. I ended up paying 200 dirhams for luggage transport that I shouldn’t have needed. From beginning to end, it felt manipulative and dishonest. I strongly advise against staying here.

Hamza’s kindness made our stay extra special. The riad is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the staff are friendly. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Riad Qamar Fez is truly one of the best places in Fez.

The courtyard is serene, the rooms are cozy, and Riad Qamar Fez is absolutely beautiful. Hamza is incredibly kind, and breakfast was perfect every morning. It’s a calm, charming place where guests feel genuinely welcome.
