La Maison Blanche - Marrakech

The staff were rude and stared inappropriately at my fianceé, who felt very uncomfortable even though she was dressed properly for Morocco. This was a terrible stay and certainly didn't feel like a five-star hotel, or even a three-star one. The hotel is part of a beach club that plays loud music from early morning until late at night, so it isn't relaxing. The place felt tacky, like a cheap version of a run-down Nikki Beach, and the hotel pool is shared with the beach club, leaving no privacy. There was mould in the bathroom, and the shower and sink drained poorly, leaving water to collect and the room to stink. Damp from a leaking AC had damaged the wall. The Wi-Fi signal was too weak to reach the rooms.

The location is great, but the service was extremely poor and the staff rude. When I asked about breakfast, the guy said it was too late because I'd woken up late, even though he could have simply suggested breakfast from the menu. I asked for a beautician and they brought an amateur one, then started talking about their commission. A huge pass.

Cool

The staff were great, though they can only work with what they have. We booked a room with two queen beds, but neither room had working heat when we arrived, and both fans stayed on low. The internet kept cutting out, and the shower had such a weak stream that my forehead got wet while my backside stayed dry. Cold air came in under the doors, the rooms looked as if they’d only been cleaned around the edges, and the paint was worn. The toilets ran and made noise constantly. After two days, I still couldn’t get a massage. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone hoping to get some rest.
