La Mamounia

After the hectic Medina, coming back to La Mamounia felt peaceful and refreshing. Its gardens are beautiful and well kept, and the calm atmosphere starts as soon as you walk in. La Mamounia really is an oasis in busy Marrakech, a lovely place to relax and get a break from the city's chaos. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the service was excellent.

The spa and exquisite dining made the stay feel special, and I can't wait to return. The hotel has beautiful architecture and lush gardens, with picture-perfect corners throughout. My room was spacious, elegant, and spotless. Service felt flawless, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. An unforgettable experience.

The grounds were much bigger than I expected, with walking paths all around the property. I loved the little discoveries too: a dessert shop out in the gardens, a dessert and tea room off the lobby, a speakeasy-style bar, and a room where celebrities have left letters of appreciation. The lobby has distinctive artwork, dim lighting, and velvet couches, while the classic rooms are polished and clean. I only tried the Italian restaurant, which has a new Chef, and it was incredible. I had spaghetti and lamb. One morning I ordered breakfast to my room, and it came out to my balcony overlooking the gardens. I tried to keep track of the staff who impressed me, but it was everyone. The servers were attentive, the concierge helpful, the doormen welcoming, and the front desk kind. What a treat, once in a lifetime!

There are plenty of quiet outdoor spots to unwind, and so much to enjoy on-site that I didn't feel a need to leave. The hotel has three restaurants, a well-equipped gym, sauna, spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and a tennis court. Its architecture is striking, full of intricate details, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I tried the buffet: the main courses weren't especially memorable, but the desserts were exceptional. Breakfast is served in the same restaurant, and it was decent with a good variety. It's conveniently close to a local market and a mall, and only a short drive from the airport. A fantastic stay for luxury, comfort, and convenience, and I'd absolutely recommend it.
