Le Jardin Tougana

Funky thing.

Rant 😡😡😡 Tougana Garden, Ourika Road. We’d booked for four on Wednesday, and the man on the phone confirmed Sunday at 11:30 AM. He said he’d text the location and confirm the number, though I’d already given it to him. No message ever came. On Sunday we drove over 20 km along a very poor dirt road, only to get a rude welcome from the owner at the door. He said there was no booking in our name, refused to discuss it, and told us to call again because there was no solution. His suggestion was that we wait an hour by the road in case someone cancelled, then he’d see. He was rude and unacceptably ill-mannered. He completely ruined our day without any consideration. Sharing this so you don’t end up in the same situation.

We had the whole afternoon to ourselves in this peaceful place far from everything. The pool was clean and beautiful, and the location felt incredible. The manager and team were very attentive, which we really appreciated. A refreshing break with delicious food and a pool too!

AVOID! The garden was awful for us right now. Roadworks nearby have closed the direct access route, so getting there meant a long detour through a hamlet on a rocky track. It was dusty and badly maintained, and I worried about damaging my vehicle. Just reaching the place was a headache. This is the first time reviews have disappointed me. Maybe it isn’t always like this, but at the moment I strongly advise against going. I blame the manager for not telling customers about the access problem beforehand, and for his poor behavior when I complained.
