Les Jardins De La Koutoubia Hotel

The service was excellent. They happily arranged transfers and an afternoon guide, and even sent a golf cart to meet our taxi, though the walk was only two minutes. The hotel sits on the edge of the Medina, which makes taxis easy, and it's well placed for the souks and markets. Other spots are an easy taxi ride away. Our room was huge, comfortable, and the beds were very comfy. The bathrooms are large and well equipped, but could use a decorative refresh. The pools were all nice and heated. The hammam was the one letdown: cramped for the price and didn't seem hygienic, so I'd skip it.

The hammam was a bad experience. The marble was so hot we couldn't sit or stand on it, and the staff left us there without seeming to care. We don't recommend it, and the spa felt overpriced compared with similar places in the city. The rest of the stay at Les Jardins de la Koutoubia was fantastic. It's right in the Medina, a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, but inside feels like a calm, elegant oasis. Our mini suite was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. There are two heated pools, including a rooftop one with lovely city views. The rooftop Indian restaurant was a highlight too, with delicious, high-quality food and a striking view of Marrakesh and the Koutoubia Mosque. Breakfast had a great selection of fresh local options, and the hotel service was warm, attentive, and professional. We'd happily return.

The piano bar is a relaxing place for an evening drink, and the rooftop pool is a nice bonus. All the restaurants serve tasty food at good prices, and breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The spa was lovely too, with competent, kind women working there. The hotel is well placed near the Fnaa square and Marrakech's attractions. Staff are kind and always smiling, and the concierge is helpful and tries to sort out any problems. It feels like a real oasis in the busy Marrakech Medina.

We could walk to most of the old city's sights from here, including the Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa El Fna Square. Gueliz, the palaces, and other hotels were also reachable on foot or with a short ride. For three days, we found the stay very comfortable, relaxing, and peaceful. It's a luxury property in the heart of the historic medina, and a hotel this large and elegant is rare there. Our accommodation was extremely comfortable, and the hospitality was consistently excellent. Ms. Roukia, who I believe is the General Manager, Mr. Abdelsadek, and the whole staff greeted us with warm smiles and showed real professionalism. I highly recommend it and would choose it again when visiting Marrakech.
