Oliva Hotel Condominium Marrakech

The building work was going on every day, with noise throughout the place. The walls were peeling and there was mould in the bathrooms. Staff were ignorant, and the so-called director was incredibly arrogant. He claimed he couldn’t speak English and wouldn’t deal with problems. They seemed more interested in smoking and drinking coffee than running the place. Camping would have been better.

Both pools were immaculate and great for children of any age. The smaller one has a separate kids’ section that worked perfectly for toddlers. Our room fit two adults and two children comfortably, with plenty of storage, comfortable beds, fresh linen and towels, and daily cleaning offered. The staff were always happy to help, and the hotel restaurant had tasty food at reasonable prices with enough choice. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Housekeeping came every day and did a good job, and the hotel staff tried to meet our needs. The pool is large, but there were lots of mosquitoes at night, so bring repellent in summer because they really bite. If you book an apartment, bring your own dishwasher soap and pads, since they don’t provide them. It’s fine for a short stop, but I wouldn’t choose it for a long, relaxing five-star apartment stay. There’s plenty of room for improvement, though it wasn’t bad.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and staff didn’t seem to care or try to fix it after we complained. They were unwelcoming and laid back. The room wasn’t clean either: there was hair on the bed, crumbs on the floors, and ants crawling around. I travel often and this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had.
