Riad Aventurine

The guide the hotel arranged, Amine, was kind and really knowledgeable. My family and I had a wonderful stay, with incredibly helpful staff, a beautiful, very well cared-for riad, and an amazing breakfast. I also loved the secret bedroom in our family suite. (Pic) The maids even folded clothes I'd accidentally left on the floor while tidying the room. I was touched that they'd go to such lengths to make each guest's day a little better.

After three weeks in Marrakech and several different stays, this was the best place we had. The whole setting felt wonderful, from the room and grounds to the atmosphere and people. Everyone made us feel so welcome that we almost didn't want to leave for the day to explore, ha. Big thanks to Fatima and Wadi for handling so many of our requests and being lovely.

The staff really made our stay, especially Fatima, who met us where the taxi dropped us and walked us to the riad. Wajih on the night shift was welcoming and attentive too. The riad is clean, the beds are comfortable, and it's right in the Medina. Breakfast was fine, though adding eggs might improve it. We walked about 13 minutes to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and 7 minutes to Bahia Palace, where there's a taxi stand. InDrive worked well for trips outside the Medina. Negotiate taxi prices, and Google Maps was useful for finding our way. There are lots of restaurants nearby. For the airport, arranging a taxi through the riad is the better choice.

The courtyard won me over first, and the rest of Riad Aventurine fits its calm feeling so well. I loved the old-time character, the woodwork and mosaics, and the terrace views. It feels earthy and homey, like a quiet oasis amid Marrakech's chaos. Fatima is every bit as wonderful as people say in the reviews. She's a great host, very helpful, and gave us a much more reliable map for getting around the Medina. I'd recommend the place and hope to return.
