Riad Chamali

We spent a week here and felt at home from the start. The peaceful setting away from the medina made it a calm place to return to, with birds waking us in the morning and cats joining us at breakfast. Breakfast was always delicious, and there are plenty of cute corners to lounge in. The staff were attentive and went the extra mile to look after us. The bathroom drain had an issue, but they fixed it right away. We also tried the spa and absolutely recommend the massages!

There’s a pool to cool off in when it’s hot, and the Riad feels cosy even though it’s tucked away in the city, with different, older streets nearby. Our stay at Riad Chamali was great. The staff are really friendly, and the rooms are tidy and clean, with towels, soap, a hairdryer, and air conditioning. Sometimes you need to wait a bit for the water to warm up, but it’s no problem. Breakfast was good, with fresh pressed juice and lovely mint tea. Thanks for having us!

The courtyard pool was a lifesaver after sweating through the medina, and our room had blessed AC. It was tucked away on a more private side of Riad Chamali and felt more like a suite than a standard room, with lots of space, carved wood details, Moroccan art above the bed, and moody lighting. After a week of 100+ degree heat and airline drama, we needed a calm, cool refuge. The staff were incredibly kind and supportive while we dealt with lost luggage. There was a bit of a language barrier without French or Arabic, but their patience and willingness to help went beyond words. A peaceful, stylish escape with warmth and heart for anyone traveling through Marrakech.

My sister and I had an incredible time, and the Riad felt like home after long days exploring the city, hiking in Talamrout, or having desert adventures. It’s about 15-20 minutes from the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, and the walk is pleasant, with plenty of shops and restaurants on the way. From the moment we arrived, the team looked after us so warmly. Heartfelt thanks to Intisar, Muhammad, Ayub, Ali, the kitchen ladies, and everyone else who made our stay so memorable. The Riad owes its charm and warmth to this amazing team!
