A nice neighborhood, close to Jamaa and the palaces. The staff were lovely and warm, and tea was always offered. The owner was very helpful with trip advice. Bathrooms were modern and spotless, and breakfast was hearty, traditional, and suited Western tastes. Beautiful and quiet, just excellent. Recommended all around.

We felt like part of the family here. Hassan, Daoud, and the other two staff members were incredibly kind, honest, and available. They helped with every request, gave us Berber tea whenever we wanted, and lent us 200 dirhams on our first night when we arrived at 23.30 and couldn’t change money at that hour. Daoud showed us how to pour the tea, which was delicious. They also cooked a traditional Moroccan dinner for us that was unlike what we’d had in Medina restaurants. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it. I recommend asking them to prepare dinner during your stay. Breakfast is included and made fresh each morning, with fresh sweet orange juice, Moroccan pancakes and bread, jams, honey, fruit salad, and other tasty things. It kept us full for a long time. We also recommend their excursions. They’re good value, and when we asked for something less touristy, they took us to beautiful places off the beaten track, including Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains, with lunch in a Berber house. Ask about the trip to Asni, Imlil, and Armed. The airport pickup is worth arranging too. It costs only 20 euros to divide among your group, and arriving for the first time can be chaotic. The riad is beautiful, and everything was extremely clean, beyond what we expected. The rooms are cosy, well furnished, and have toiletries; towels were changed often. The rooftop is lovely for meals, as are the shared spaces. The location is in the heart of the Medina, 100 metres from the Kasbah Mosque and Saadian Tombs, but tucked into a very quiet street. Jemaa el-Fnaa is a 10-minute walk, and Bahia Palace, Place des Flerbantiers, and El Badii Palace are each less than 10 minutes away. It’s a peaceful base for reaching Marrakech’s sights.

The team helped us arrange activities at better prices, and it felt as if anything we wanted to do was just a phone call away. They were so kind and accommodating that we felt like part of the family. The food was delicious and, even considering the price, I’d choose it over any restaurant nearby. This stunningly Moroccan accommodation was exceptionally clean, and we felt safe and comfortable. It’s in the old city with easy transport links in every direction. Excellent service, worth every penny, and the only place I’d consider on another visit to Marrakech. It felt like a home away from home.

Hi everyone, the place itself is really good, but the owner and the service were very bad. His name is hassan. I was with my family, but because there was no availability we had to stay in another riad behind this one. He treated me badly and wanted me to stay here instead, apparently because I was British and they were morrocons, basically to take more money from tourists. I had been told I wasn’t allowed to come in anymore, and I agreed. Then I waited outside and it started pouring with rain. He saw on camera that I was getting soaked, but didn’t invite me in or offer shelter. He seemed to hate me for no reason and kept complaining. Honestly, the way he treated me hurt my heart, and I’ll never recommend this place. Money isn’t the issue. He told my family sob stories about people being jealous of him. Sort yourself out, mate.

A lovely riad in a quiet neighborhood just beyond Marrakech’s city centre.
