It may look far away, but it’s well connected and perfectly placed just off the main street. The place is really quiet, and the rooftop with its little swimming pool is lovely.

We ended up booking somewhere else two days before arrival, and it cost significantly more. We had a confirmed reservation as an international couple, and had made that clear beforehand. Then, shortly before our trip, we were told we needed a marriage certificate, despite the listing saying otherwise. When we asked for clarification, the answers kept changing and we couldn't tell whether we'd be allowed to check in. Other places we contacted said they accept international couples without that requirement. The conflicting information and poor communication made this a frustrating experience. Travellers should be cautious.

The riad made a lovely place to return to after lively days among Marrakech's souks. It sits right in the medina, close to the bustle, yet felt like a welcoming home where we could settle down and feel at peace. The central patio set a calm tone as soon as we arrived, and the rooftop terrace looked out over the medina and the snow-covered Atlas peaks. Assia brought so much warmth to the experience. She was attentive without intruding, and her thoughtful gestures and sincere conversations made us feel connected. Breakfast in the patio was a treat, with warm Moroccan pancakes, fragrant honey, and mint tea prepared with care. She took time to talk with us and make sure everything was just right. It turned a simple stay into something memorable. The place itself was beautiful, but the human connection mattered most. We came away with a shared experience and memories full of warmth and authenticity.
