The location was a real plus, with shops, food places and restaurants about a two-minute walk away, and the big Jamaal Square markets and gardens around ten minutes on foot. My husband and I stayed at Riad jibril for four nights. Hamza welcomed us and introduced us to David, who both run the riad. They were friendly and the hospitality was great. The rooms are quite dated, dimly lit and Moroccan-decorated, but cleaned daily, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast and a place to relax are upstairs on a terrace shared with cats. The only thing that bothered us was the smell from the male cats. I’ll post a video of the raid jibril, though some parts are dark. There are push lights on the walls, which I only noticed later 😂 I’ll also post a few pictures from my visit.

The terrace was a lovely, quiet spot away from the busy streets, and we enjoyed spending time there with Sophie and her three kittens. Since we have cats at home, being around them reminded us of our own. My family and I had a really good eight-night stay, and we all give it a thumbs-up. The neighborhood felt friendly and safe to walk through at night. We came to Marrakech for the first time, and Hamza was still there to greet us with a reassuring smile when our delayed flight got in. He stayed up until 2am. The next day was my daughter's birthday, and he surprised us with a beautiful cake and a song. I was so glad we chose the Riad and got to enjoy the traditional food and hospitality from Hamza, Dawoud and Amina. It's just around the corner from the medina, with the old city's busy streets and attractions close by. Hamza gave us ideas for things to do, arranged tours, a massage and Hammam, and even printed my boarding passes because Ryan air don't accept digital ones at the airport. Breakfast was traditional, delicious and always on time. Dinner's morroccon tagine was delicious too. Amina kept everything clean, and housekeeping was great. Dawoud is a great chef who served delicious food on time, and Hamza and the rest of the staff were always there to help. Hamza was a supportive host, always smiling and ready to assist us with anything. I highly recommend the Riad jibrl for anyone wanting to experience morroccon tradition and the old town, something you won't get at a hotel. I hope to return and wouldn't miss the chance for anything.

Breakfast was tasty and just the right size, and eating on the rooftop was peaceful. The location was brilliant, among both locals and tourists, and we felt very safe. It was a lovely, traditional place to stay, and the staff were really helpful. There was a strong smell in the shared areas, but otherwise it was a perfect stay.

The rooftop was beautiful, and the location was great for walking everywhere we wanted to go. It's a basic riad, and our room was quite noisy at night, with a lot of banging and other sounds that I assume came from a restaurant next door. The place wasn't signposted, so we struggled to find it when we arrived. It took about 10 minutes of waiting before anyone answered the door, which worried us, but it all worked out fine. For a basic two-night stay in a great location, it was good. I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms are basic, but clean and had everything we needed for a few days. Breakfast was simple but tasty, hot and plentiful, served on the rooftop terrace with kittens playing underfoot. We also liked the little restaurant next door, Aziz's, for a quick bite, and the people there were really friendly. We stumbled across riad jibril in a lovely district of Marrakech and were glad we did. Yousef looked after us from the moment we arrived. He explained how to get around the city safely, suggested things to do, and went out of his way to organize them and make sure we were on time for our trips. When we come back to Marrakech, we'll definitely stay again.
