Riad Loudaya

After a lively day in Marrakech, it was lovely to come back to the calm and comfort of Riad Loudaya, and it was just as nice to start the day there. The city is fun, exciting, edgy, and eclectic, while the riad itself is very quiet, tucked away from the busy streets. The square is about a 20-minute walk away, with plenty to see along the way. The staff and owner were friendly and attentive. Our clean room had a very comfortable bed, and the shower and amenities worked well. There was a safe, water, plenty of hanging space, and shelves for folded clothes. From the landing we could look over the central pool area and, on sunny days with the cover off, see the blue sky above. The spacious rooftop terrace is where we had breakfast, though guests can also eat outside their room or by the plunge pool. Meals are available there in the evenings too. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and filling: bread, pancakes, preserves, fruit salad, juice, coffee, mint tea, and cake. We enjoyed it on the roof while listening to the local birds. And if you're lucky, you might meet their cat, 'Toto'. Highly recommended.

Youseff was a GREAT host, making us feel happy and comfortable from the moment we arrived to the very end of our stay. The staff were attentive and worked hard to make us feel at home. The place has lots of character, with lovely corners and little details throughout. There are two rooftops, a minibar with cold drinks, and nice places to enjoy the view. Finding the entrance was a bit tricky, though, and a few signs pointing the way would really help guests : ).

The food was incredible, with fresh, flavorful dishes that made every meal feel special. I especially recommend the chicken with lemon tajine. My room mixed traditional Moroccan design with modern comfort and was beautifully decorated, and the hospitality made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Wow, what a cozy little Riad in the heart of Marrakech Kasba. I loved the decor and interior design. The man at reception was so friendly, warm, and welcoming. I'll add his name if I can remember it.
