The rooftop turned out to be beautiful, with a great spot to sunbathe and enjoy the view. It would have been helpful if the staff had mentioned it, since otherwise guests might not discover it. Our hammam treatment was in a private, beautiful setting, though it could be improved with background music or traditional tea afterwards. I also would have liked the staff member to introduce herself, ask about any special requirements, and let us know when the treatment was over. That would have been a natural moment to thank us for booking and ask for feedback. The hotel’s cozy, stunning architecture impressed us, as did the personal feel of a place with only six rooms and a limited number of guests. It’s easy to walk or take a taxi to the city centre. Everything was clean and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was nice but quite basic. We only got fruit and eggs after asking, and it’s little things like offering them proactively that make a difference. We enjoyed our stay at Riad Omni.

The location worked really well for us: Riad Omri is about a 20-minute walk from the Medina, far enough from the noise but still easy to reach on foot. My wife, our 7 year old son, and I loved the beautiful riad, and the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and relaxing. Kamal and Rashid looked after us so thoughtfully and made us feel like family. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the fresh orange juice and pancakes. The hammam, massage, and jacuzzi package at the spa was fantastic. We were so glad we stayed here and will definitely come back.

I’d be very cautious about booking Riad Omri. The photos and reviews gave me a different impression from what we experienced. There’s no fitness facility, despite it being advertised, and we had several problems during the stay: it was noisy, the air conditioning didn’t work one night, and breakfast wasn’t good. The staff were kind, but that didn’t resolve those issues. The walk from the car park to the riad also felt uncomfortable. The route goes through very narrow streets with scooters and stray cats, and it didn’t feel safe for women. The riad can escort you in and out, but it’s still something to think about. I don’t know the area well, but I wouldn’t feel right recommending it. I’d suggest looking at a higher-end hotel or somewhere more central.

The staff are superb and happy to help with anything, and the sun terrace feels so peaceful and private. The Riad itself is beautiful and luxurious, with nothing to fault. It’s in the old town, so be ready to find your way through the narrow streets since taxis can’t drop you at the door. The friendly staff will help when you arrive or leave by taxi. My only suggestion is to add USB connections and more power outlets.

Abdelali made our arrival a highlight, welcoming us with tea and sweets and showing us around the riad. His personal attention was lovely. The place is beautiful, with such care given to the details. We could leave the car in a safe parking area a couple of minutes away, then walk everywhere from there. A great stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.
