Riad Paquerette

Danielle, Yousef and the rest of the staff were so kind and helpful. The family really goes out of its way to make your time in Marrakesh a great experience. Riad Paquerette is right in the heart of the Medina, and it’s clean, comfortable and quiet. It had everything we needed.

After the busy mazes and Souks of Marrakesh, it was lovely to return to such a quiet, peaceful place. The team welcomed us with real warmth and care. The riad is beautiful inside and well placed in the old Medina, close to the Museum of Photography and the Medersa Ben Youssef.

The hosts were welcoming and helped us at every turn, from calling taxis to showing us to the fabulous Le Slimani on our first evening. Breakfast on the terrace was very basic Moroccan food, but we loved it. The rooms are tasteful, though small, and the ensuite bathroom was manageable. Like many old city riads, this one can be tricky to find at first. We appreciated getting sheets and a light cover instead of a heavy one, the first time we’d had that in Morocco. Be aware, there are stairs, so this isn’t a good choice if you find them difficult.

I felt at peace in this beautiful riad, with its traditional Moroccan decor, lovely architecture and charming details. The staff made the stay special, always friendly and accommodating, and their suggestions for local sights and experiences were wonderful. I was welcomed warmly from the moment I arrived. For an authentic, magical stay in Morocco, I’d happily recommend RIAD PAQUERETTE. I can’t wait to come back.
