I had a pretty good stay at riyad sijane. The place is well located, and the staff were really helpful. The hostel was comfortable, especially the outdoor terrace. Many thanks to Russels for the tajine.

I had a blast here. Since I was the only woman for a while, the host gave me a room of my own, and made sure to separate men and women when possible. I’ll be back on future solo trips. To the French family who were so rude to our host, you need a lesson in human decency. I’d be horrified to learn I was raising my children to treat someone the way I watched you treat him in front of them.

Breakfast with the other travelers makes it easy to meet new friends quickly. The riad is really pretty and has a cozy feel, and the staff are amazing, going out of their way to take care of your needs. I’d definitely recommend staying here :)

The host was so caring and treated us brilliantly. He gave us free breakfast every day, cooked an incredible chicken tajine, and even prepared a warm packed breakfast and woke us early for a day trip so we wouldn’t miss our bus. He also let us check out late for free, which saved us a lot of trouble. I’ve spent six weeks travelling and staying in hostels, and I’ve never been treated this well. The rooms were very tidy, too. The location was insanely good, about 10 minutes from any main attraction in Marrakesh. This was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The only problem was not having more time there. It was a perfect stay, and I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

A fantastic hostel tucked into the madness of Marrakech. It felt like a safe haven, with great staff, a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, and very good value. I’ll definitely stay again. The tortoise was probably the highlight. It seems to have either turned into a cat or been adopted by the new cat mother 😂
