Dinner on the roof terrace at sunset was a real highlight. We ordered the night before, and the lamb tagine with prunes and almonds was one of our best meals in Marrakech. We’d recommend doing the same. Riad Soundouss made exploring the Medina easy. It’s near sights like Jemaa el-Fnaa and Jardin Majorelle, but tucked away enough that closing the door shuts out the bustle of Marrakech. After a day out, we returned to a peaceful courtyard and the lovely verbena scent from the oil burner. The traditional Moroccan feel, elegant interiors, and beautiful setting made the riad feel authentic. Ibrahim welcomed us with mint tea, dates, and biscuits, and made us feel at home right away. Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and the staff were consistently helpful, from recommendations to arranging airport transfers and a day trip to the picturesque Ourika Valley. We had a wonderful stay, beyond what we expected, and can’t wait to return. Merci beaucoup, Jean-François et Ibrahim.

The location was just right, a welcome bit of calm after walking through Marrakech’s busy streets. The owner made us feel very welcome and was an amusing man, who reminded me of Louis de Funes. 🎭 The staff were friendly and accommodating too. 😊

We loved starting the day with breakfast here. It was tasty and filling, with small changes to the dishes each morning that kept us looking forward to it. Riad SOUNDOUSS is a beautiful historical house in the heart of the Medina, with gorgeous interiors and a lovely rooftop terrace. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking care of our needs so we could enjoy our stay without worries. For historical charm, warm hospitality, and a memorable atmosphere, it’s a great choice.

The view was amazing by day and at night. The room, rooftop, and shared areas were all in very good condition, with lots of thoughtful details and nothing missing. A beautiful Riad in a great location, with kind, attentive management and staff. Well done!

The riad was hard to locate on our first try, so Google Maps is useful. People on the street may offer to guide you, but they expect payment, so ignore them. The room was lovely, clean, and had great air conditioning. It’s really close to the souk, and the host and staff were lovely. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
