I found this riad pretty mediocre at best. The location is central, and the staff are friendly; the patio and rooftop are nice too. But the route there is filthy and smelly, and the rooms are dark and cold. The bathroom is small, and sometimes there was no hot water. Breakfast was included, though I’d had better at every other place I stayed. I also got the impression staff were trying to upsell me whenever I asked for advice, which I didn’t appreciate. For the price, I’d look elsewhere.

The location is great, right in the heart of the medina, and the staff were wonderful. A special thanks to the lovely man on the day shift at reception, who helped me a lot. I stayed in a ground-floor room with no windows, though, and at £97 a night it didn’t feel acceptable to spend the night cramped and claustrophobic. I was there in early April.

Jemaa El-Fna is only about a five-minute walk away, so Riad Zazz is very central. The riad and rooms are beautiful, and there’s a small refreshing pool on the roof terrace. Breakfast was really good: fresh fruit and juice, local pancakes made to order, and eggs if you wanted them. Hussein and Nassim were always kind and helped with all our questions and doubts. We enjoyed our stay a lot and hope to come back soon.

After a day exploring Marrakesh, the quiet spot inside the medina walls was a lovely place to unwind. The terrace has loungers, sofas, and a plunge pool, and the staff were attentive and friendly from the moment I arrived. Breakfast was generous and delicious, tea was available whenever I wanted it, and my room was clean with a very comfortable bed. There wasn’t much natural light in my room, and the AC was a bit noisy, but I’d still definitely stay here again.

A nice terrace and a good breakfast made for a pleasant stay, and the staff helped us make the most of our time and sort out a few hiccups. The Riad is right in the heart of the Medina and well placed for seeing the city. Definitely recommended.
