Ryad Amiran & Spa

Riad Amiran was such a peaceful place, and the staff were always ready to help. The beds were incredibly comfortable, we slept better than ever, and the shower was fantastic. It was my first time in Morocco and everything felt perfect. The kindness and beauty of Morocco left us feeling so inspired.

The food here is outstanding. This is a great base for a city break, right in the middle of a lively historic city with plenty to see and do. Just try not to get lost like we did.

We spent loads of time on the rooftop terrace at this stunning little place, which has maybe 8-10 rooms, and breakfast was yummy. The staff welcomed us with smiles and delicious mint tea when we arrived hot and tired on Thursday. Our EasyJet transfer dropped us in the wrong place, so we spent 30 minutes dragging our cases through the souks after the flight. Once we got there, though, we had a fabulous stay and I'd definitely come back. The location gets 4/5 from me because it's down some side streets and could feel a bit remote if you were alone. We felt safe the whole time. Tip: ask your driver to drop you by the Bab Yacout archway, then it's a three-minute walk. Don't get dropped off in the square!

The street outside could get noisy at night, though we expected that and it didn't bother us much. Souks are a short walk away, with good places to eat close by. We stayed five nights and really enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were great and very clean, as were the shared areas. All the staff were fantastic, friendly, and hard-working. Breakfast was included, with pastries, bread, jam, honey, coffee, juice, and mint tea. We had our other plans already, so didn't use the additional services, though there's plenty on offer. We'd definitely recommend staying here.
