Horizon Lake View Resort Hotel

They advertise gym access for people who aren’t staying at the hotel, but they wouldn’t let us in. We came in the middle of the day to work out for an hour, and the gym was empty. We spent 45 minutes trying to sort it out, and they even called the GM, but we still couldn’t use it. That GM seems uninterested in getting clients or making money. We’ll keep staying at the Lake Garden, which looks classier and has better rooms, even though its gym is smaller.

I was there for a two-day workshop, not as a hotel guest. The rooms are nice, and the hotel has very large spaces for workshops and ceremonies. Wi-Fi was very poor, though, and I couldn’t connect my laptop. Lunch and refreshments were ordinary.

This is a good-value place for business trips or a family holiday. The breakfast was nice, with lots of options, and even vegetarians seemed well catered for. Try the gem and swimming pool. Internet speed could be better, though that’s a common problem in this town.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are really nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. I also heard they grow their own organic vegetables. Wi-Fi can be a little slow sometimes.
