The location is strong, and the hotel has plenty of potential. Security staff and bell boys were courteous and helpful, which I appreciated. The reception experience was much less welcoming, though. Senior and junior staff alike rarely smiled, and often seemed indifferent or unhelpful. A friendlier, more attentive manner at the desk would make a real difference. The building is older, but the upgraded rooms are generally comfortable. Some sheets look worn, and the sofas need refurbishing. Housekeeping only comes if you request it, which might not suit everyone. Rooms facing the park can also get very noisy during festive periods, with event music sometimes going late into the night and making it hard to sleep.

From 20th September to 27th September, I stayed at this wonderful hotel. It was quiet and clean, and the breakfast was very good, with the chef and his manager overseeing it each day. The reception staff were more than wonderful too, friendly, high-minded, and eager to help with guests’ questions.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far.

We stayed four nights on a bed-and-breakfast basis during our pilgrimage in Myanmar in Feb/ Mar 2025. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff attentive and friendly. There was a tasty selection at the breakfast buffet. I’d recommend the hotel for a comfortable stay in Yangoon. The world-famous Swedagon Pagoda is just around the corner, and you can walk there from the hotel if you like.

The meals were a real highlight of my four-night business stay at Summit Park View hotel. Mr. Mark, the Executive Chef, was consistently professional and upbeat, and his cooking showed. The food was varied and better than I expected. The hotel has been open since 1995, yet it was spotless and clearly well cared for. From arrival onward, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt welcome. I left with a great impression and would stay there again. I’d recommend Summit Park View hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay.
