Zolo Hotel

I checked out at 7:00 AM on May 17, 2026, after arriving the previous afternoon, May 16, then headed toward the Gobi Desert. About four hours later, I realized I'd left a small shopping bag in my room with two outfits, a T-shirt, and two books. I asked through a local driver if the hotel could hold it, but they said they had no such items. When I called that evening, they said they couldn't reach the room cleaner. I tried again the next day, including by international call, and then almost every day after that. They kept saying the cleaner was unreachable, and eventually stopped answering altogether. After my trip, I had no choice but to stay at the same hotel again for one day. I checked in on May 24th, and around noon the next day, someone identifying themselves as the manager brought my bag back and apologized for the inconvenience. It had been eight days, and only two pieces of clothing were inside. The T-shirt and both books were missing. I wasn't too worried about the shirt, but the books were in Korean and out of print, so I can't buy them even in Korea. I repeatedly asked them to look since they had found the bag, but they said they hadn't seen books like those and that the books weren't there. I can't believe that, because I had put them in the bag with my other things. Since they were in Korean, I suspect they threw them away because they didn't need them. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, but I don't feel guests' belongings are safe there. Room cleaners and front desk employees change too often, and things left behind by guests seem to disappear.
