Sunshine View

We only needed a clean, cosy room for one night, without paying for a premium stay. Sunshine view fit that perfectly: the price was budget friendly, but our room felt premium, was spotless, and had all the comfort and facilities we needed. Shafeeque looks after the place like it's his own home, and you can tell from how well the room was kept. We had trouble booking transport ourselves, so he arranged our transfers between Male and Maafushi. His restaurant tips were right on for us, too. Thanks for helping make our short trip a success.

The owner was kind, attentive, and always there when we needed help, taking care of things throughout our stay. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and just as described, and everything went well from the start. We'd gladly recommend it and would love to return.

I booked just a few hours before arriving on Maafushi, on a very last-minute first visit, but mohammed got in touch quickly and sorted out a speedboat from the airport. He and his wife were incredibly kind, and the guesthouse was always tidy. I'll definitely stay at Sunshine View again when I'm back! Also, the shampoo smells lovely. 🐠🌊🌅

The bathroom looked clean, but had a sewer smell, and there were so many mosquitoes in the restaurant that eating was difficult. Breakfast was included, yet they seemed unhappy when we ate there. The room was never cleaned during our stay, not even the small trash bin, and we were given just two towels with no replacements. The sheets and blankets didn't look clean either. Spiders, ants, and bed bugs were in the room, with bugs crawling across the floor and around the bed. I woke up after being bitten. I tried to put up with it, but the room conditions and service didn't match the rating. Staying here left me with bad memories of the Maldives local island, and I don't want to visit this island again.
