The location is the only reason I'd give this place an extra point. The hotel name online doesn't match the actual name, nobody seemed to know Spazio Boutique Hotel, and there wasn't even a sign. The website photos also didn't match what we found. It badly needs renovation, with things falling apart. The room looked nicely prepared at first, but the bathroom tiles had permanent sand that wouldn't come off, and the toilet was leaking. I noticed it in the evening and asked for it to be cleaned. I was told housekeeping wasn't available until morning, but after I pushed a little, they sent the person sitting on the couch behind me right away. The website says breakfast is included, but what they call continental breakfast was just white bread with butter and jam. Nobody could say how long it had been there, and it was left in the coffee shop at the corner as if no one cared. The place wasn't clean at all. Three coffee cups had lipstick stains on them. Cleanliness is a long way off here.

For $150 for three nights, I got a huge room with big beds, clean sheets, a fresh smell, a tub and a shower, separate air conditioning in the unit, and a nice big smart TV. The place was perfectly clean and blew my mind for the price. I had booked a room at the green capsule hostile but had to leave, and I'm glad I did. For about the same money as a hostel, I got a big room of my own. I went in September, so maybe that explains the lower price. If you're not picky or bougie, this is more than perfect. You can't beat the price, so don't let the other reviews put you off.

As soon as we arrived, the smell made me vomit. There were no windows, the door was half water damaged, and both the bed and towels were dirty and stained. We asked for room spray and were told they had no cleaning supplies. I pleaded with the front desk and Expedia for a refund, but both refused. We packed up and moved to another hotel, leaving $250 wasted.

I liked it so much that I kept extending my stay and ended up there for a month. This is a good boutique hotel in the center of North Hotel Zone, across from the Mega hotels, and everything around was convenient. The staff were great, helpful, and professional. Special thanks to Cuauhtumec for making my stay so enjoyable.

The rooms are okay, but the property is dirty, falling apart, badly maintained, and in serious disrepair. I would avoid this horrible hotel. It goes by three names: Spazio Boutique Hotel, Essenzia de Cancun hotel, and MayaFair Design Hotel. Scam alert.
