Zocalo Central, Food & Beverages Included

The neighborhood is very busy, though that didn’t bother us. We had a great stay at Zocalo Central in January: the hotel was clean, our room was nice, the staff were attentive, and the food was really good. If your stay includes it, you can order anything from the café for free apart from some alcoholic drinks. Excellent service, and I’d recommend it 100%.

Being right in the historic center is a big plus if that’s where you want to stay, and I’d come back if I’m in Mexico City again. The rooms run a little small, but breakfast was tasty and the coffee was especially good. The coffee shop also has complimentary beer and a light food menu, which worked perfectly for us. The rooftop dining room serves high-quality food, though you’ll pay international prices for it. Staff were professional and clearly well trained. I’d recommend the hotel.

It was quiet throughout our stay, and the area felt safe, with plenty of restaurants close enough to walk to. The hotel was very clean and smelled nice. We liked the rooftop restaurant and its included breakfast buffet, and having the 24/7 café included with the stay was a lovely perk. Highly recommend staying here.

The room was spacious and comfortable, just what we needed to recover after our 12-hour flight. Getting around was easy too, with Constitution Square, the Cathedral, and the Templo Mayor all a short walk away. The hotel runs a free walking tour each morning at 9:30. Nadia led ours, and she was fantastic, a natural communicator with a ton of information. It was easily the best walking tour we’ve taken and a great way to get oriented on our first morning. For a busy big-city hotel, the service felt surprisingly personal. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and breakfast at the rooftop bar was terrific. It’s also a great spot for an afternoon beer or a late-night cocktail.
